Demi Lovato Feels Most Beautiful When She's 'Completely Stripped Down'

What's wrong with being confident?

Demi Lovato knows there's nothing wrong with being confident -- especially when you're naked.

"I feel the most beautiful when I’m naked," said Lovato in an interview with People. "Just completely stripped down, completely organic, me. That’s when I feel the most confident, because that’s the most natural state that I could possibly get in."

Lovato, who is well-known for her #NoMakeupMonday and #FreshFacedFriday hashtags, lives by her words. The 23-year-old singer posed naked and makeup-free for Vanity Fair in an October 2015 shoot that coincided with her album,"Confident."

"It's empowering," said Lovato in a video that accompanied the Vanity Fair shoot, "and it shows other women you can get to a place where you can overcome the obstacles of body-image issues. You can feel comfortable and confident in your skin."

But for Lovato, feeling that confident and comfortable boils down to one thing.

“The key for me is self-care," the singer told People. "I love myself the most when I’m taking care of myself."
