Demi Lovato has a new hero and her name is Carrie Fisher.

When Star Wars: The Force Awakens stormed movie theaters in December, certain Internet trolls made a stunning discovery: Fisher looks a bit different than she did in 1977. The outspoken, perspicacious icon took to Twitter in kind:

“Please stop debating about whether OR not I aged well,” she tweeted. “Unfortunately it hurts all 3 of my feelings. My BODY hasn’t aged as well as I have. Blow us.”

She continued, “My body is my brain bag, it hauls me around to those places and in front of faces where there’s something to say or see.”

Twitter erupted in a chorus of applause for the Postcards From the Edge writer’s witty response. Lovato joined the conversation with an endorsement of her own:

“For women of all ages everywhere. Thank you @carrieffisher.. You are #goals” followed by three emphatic clapping emojis.
