Demi Lovato took the American Idol stage last Thursday and delivered a powerhouse performance of her hits "Confident" and "Stone Cold."
The latter live rendition was the standout from her Idol appearance, praised by the judges and viewers at home for the vocal aerobics and raw emotions displayed by the pop singer. "God knows I tried to feel happy for you / Know that I am, even if I can't understand," she sang over muted piano chords. "I'll take the pain / Give me the truth."
She added, "This is the type of song I wanted people to feel in their hearts and kind of rip their guts out."
Fans will have a chance to hear Lovato perform the song live at her upcoming Future Now tour with Nick Jonas. The trek, which kicks off at BB&T Center in Sunrise, Florida on June 24, is being hyped as an interactive experience that will stimulate all five senses.
"Not everything is final, but there are a ton of ideas going around," she said. "We just want to make sure that this show is completely interactive with the audience. We want them to feel like this is totally a new experience. This isn't just a show where you're going to come in and sit down and watch somebody perform ... We're excited to show everybody our ideas, but also have them come to life and play new music."
The Future Now Tour will come to The Forum in Los Angeles on Saturday, September 17. For tickets and information, head over to tour's official site here.
